We had grandparents visiting from Hungary last week. With the promising weather forecast for Tuesday, we decided on a day trip to Brighton. I wanted to show them around town, the Pier, the Royal Pavilion and, of course, the seafront. Toddler in tow, we only managed to get as far and the first volleyball court... 'Sandcastles!' he announced so we knew that we had plenty of time to settle down and get a coffee. (and a beer)
After an hour, all covered in sand, we made our way down to the pebble beach, where the stone throwing commenced.
Now throwing stones/rocks/gravel into puddles/river/the sea is Bruno's favourite thing in the whole world, so we quickly realised that we would probably not see the rest of Brighton that day.
We didn't mind too much as the weather turned out to be amazing. Bruno played on the beach all day with only a short break for an amazing fish and chips lunch at Melrose. (Thanks Google reviews!)
